Lauren and Markie
Lauren Ash-Morgan, actor and a member of the SSC's board of directors since 2011, is the co-founding artistic director of the recently formed theater company Speech of Fire. She served as Artistic director of Seoul Shakespeare Company from 2014 through the year 2019. As the artistic director of SSC, she was the company's composer, musician and text director as well as the costume, set and music designer. While she would usually be the head of her group Her first directorial role was in SSC King Lear. Alongside acting, she's also been associated with several game programs. The daughter of poet Marylee Post and scientist Richard F. Post she was raised along with two brothers in Walnut Creek. She was a student at Las Lomas High School where she was a cheerleader. Following a short stint at Pomona College, she graduated from Lewis & Clark College. Post had previously been married Stephen Knox. The couple has been together from 1982 on to Michael A. Ross, an actor and writer, with whom she shares two daughters. Post inspires many Hollywood actors as she is an amazing actress as well as the an ideal mother and wife.
